Ice Cream For Lunch!

Hey there guys. I hope you all are having a great day. My day started off by taking my hubby to the E.R. He missed the last step while coming down this morning and sprained tendons in his knee. He is laid up on my couch with his knee in a demobilizer. He is okay and can head back to light duty tomorrow but what a way to start the day! Back to the subject of lunch. Yesterday was National Nutella Day so I made a lunch for one of the kids with Nutella.

Ice cream for lunch. This is lunch for the oldest. She has two ice cream shaped Nutella sandwiches. The ice cream is Nutella  with pink sprinkles. Also she has sugar snap peas, pepper rings a half of orange and grapes. She also has pretzel crisp and chocolate covered raisins.

This is lunch for the middle girl. She has two P.B.&J. squirrel sandwiches. Celery sticks, carrots, a half of orange and grapes. She also has Annie's bunny snack mix.

The boy took P.B.&J. square sammies, grapes and a orange. He also has cheese crackers and pretzel crisp. He had circle sammies earlier this week so I figured he would like squares too.

Have a great day!

I Love Lunch!

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a great day today. Today I did our first Valentine bento of the month. I love Valentines Day. The kids all get a box of chocolate from mommy and daddy. I usually bake the hubby a cake of his choice and he always gets me a little something. Love is always in the air in February! So without further ado here is our lunch inspired from love!

This is lunch for the middle girl. She has lunch packed in our Easy Lunchboxes. She has pepperoni heart roll ups. Carrot medallions and grapes. She also has apple newton cookies and pretzel squares.
(Instructions for roll up hearts at the bottom of the page.)

This is lunch for the oldest. She has her lunch packed in our very cute heart shaped boxes from Target. She has pepperoni and tortilla heart roll ups. Grapes, sugar snap peas, sweet bell pepper rings and a strawberry applesauce(not shown). She also has apple Newton cookies.

This is lunch for the boy. He has pepperoni roll ups, grapes and a orange. Also he has apple Newton cookies and pretzel squares.

I know you are wondering how I made the cute heart roll ups. So here are the instructions.

I took a extra large flour tortilla and cut it in half. Set one piece to the side. Place the flour tortilla the cut side at the top. Take four sandwich size slices of pepperoni and place all the way across the tortilla. Fold the pepperoni slices in just a bit to make them line up with the cut side of the tortilla (so they fit together like two pieces of paper). Next fold the rounded bottom of the tortilla up to the middle of the pepperoni. Now roll one side over tightly until you reach the middle. Roll the other side tightly to meet the other rolled part. Hold tightly and cut into 3 to 4 thick pieces. Now push the bottom in to form a heart shape. You can either secure with a toothpick or food pick. And there you have it. Heart shaped pepperoni roll ups! You can also put a thin layer of whatever condiments your children like. Just remember not to much.

Bunny Love!

Hello There! It's been awhile hasn't it? We had a lot of snow here in Virginia the last couple of weeks. With bad weather and school workdays the kids have been to school only twice in two weeks. But they are back to school and I am packing lunches again. Of course they ate but not the cutie pie lunches they take to school. So lets get to lunch!

All three girls took basically the same lunch today. This one is for the youngest. She had chocolate hazelnut spread mini Miffy sammies. Sweet pepper rings, carrot medallions, sugar snap peas, apple slices and grapes. She also took Annie's snack mix and bunny grahams.

This is a simple lunch for the boy who isn't about lunch time frills. He has three peanut butter circle sandwiches, a orange, apple slices and red grapes. He also has pretzel squares and apple newton's. This was such a fast lunch to put together. I just used circle cookie cutters and the foods shaped the rest. It's funny how a cookie cutter can make a boring meal neat.

I hope you all have a great day! You can find some of the products I used in this lunch in the links below or through the Amazon link at the right upper side of the post.
