New Yumbox Design Review!

Lets talk about the Yumbox for a bit. When I started packing bento lunches a couple of years ago I came across the Yumbox. I didn't purchase them then because I was just starting out and needed basically everything. These lunchboxes have been on my wish list forever. When the new boxes came out, I knew it was finally time to get one so I contacted Yumbox for a review. They sent me the new Ananas Yellow six compartment box. It is in the new line and has been redesigned to make the six compartment box more roomy. There was some wasted space in the earlier version. While I impatiently waited for my new Yumbox to arrive, I decided to go ahead and order two of the older versions. Well that lead to another. Which lead to the panino versions. I had to have those too so I ordered one and then another. I now have six of them and I am truly in love with the Yumbox- the older versions as well as the new. My kids love them. I even make lunch for myself in them. They are one of my favorite lunchboxes. I don't know how I lived without them for so long. lol

Yumbox Facts: It's leak proof! Yes. It's really leak proof. This is a feature that I love in a lunchbox!

All materials are food-safe, BPA-Free, Phthalates-free and are CPSIA and FDA compliant! Wow! They had me at BPA-Free!

The Yumbox is  approximately 8.5 x 6.5 x 1.8 inches and weighs 1 lbs 1.5 oz.

You can get two versions of the Yumbox. The Panino is big enough to hold a full sized sandwich or a salad. It also has  two smaller 1/2 cup sides plus a 1 oz dip/treat well. The six compartment box has five 1/2 cup portions of the five main food groups plus one dip/treat well. Both are great for all ages.

These are just a few facts about the Yumbox. You can find out more about the Yumbox by clicking this link. Frequently Asked Questions

Here is a lunch in the new Ananas Yellow six compartment lunchbox.

Isn't it cute? This is a lunch for my youngest. She has a cute panda ham sandwich, carrots, broccoli, cucumbers, peppers, grapes, an orange, pretzels and sunflower seeds. She also has a Babybell cheese.

It is quite roomy now. Here's a couple of lunches in the older box styles so you can get an idea of the change.

This is lunch for my middle girl. She has a little lamb ham sandwich, carrots, cucumbers, grapes, an orange and pretzels. See that ranch in the little well. That dip stays right where I put it. No leeks at all.

If you have been a reader of mine for awhile then you know this is lunch for the picky boy. He has pretzels, ham, an orange, grapes, apples, peanuts and animal crackers.

I love the new box. Heck I love the older version. I just love the Yumbox in any way I can get it. These boxes are sturdy and make lunch packing so easy. I highly recommend the Yumbox. You will love it. Be sure to check them out here. Yumbox Home Page
